4. If the air filter is clogged. The air filter element can be cleaned or replaced. You can also remove the air filter element before the vehicle inspection and install it after the vehicle is inspected. However, it should be noted that the dust entering the combustion chamber is very harmful to the engine.
5. You can also unplug a fuel injector to reduce the fuel entering the combustion chamber. Relatively speaking, oxygen becomes more abundant, which helps eliminate the production of carbon monoxide.
6. If the oxygen sensor has not been replaced for a long time, and it is aging, the oxygen sensor needs to be replaced. The oxygen sensor plays the role of air-fuel ratio control, which makes the fuel burn more fully. Once the oxygen sensor is damaged, the gasoline will burn insufficiently, and the phenomenon of high carbon monoxide will appear.
